  • Does giving up a belief in the soul diminish meaning?  Experience?

  • What should we make of paranormal experiences, especially ghosts?

    • Fake or real?

JJM's response: I've always kept an open mind and have always been on the lookout but have never witnessed anything I could entitle supernatural or paranormal.  This lack of experience coupled with my knowledge about physics, methaphysics, and human psychology lead me to believe that ghosts are not real.  As an adolescent I did experience one episode of precognition but the fact that I have never again experienced precognition to any significant degree as well as my knowledge of the developing brain leads me to think this was probably an artifact less of the paranormal than of the neurophysiological.

    • If fake, I would contend that they are still a significant human phenomenon, what is their significance?

  • Why do people universally use some kind of drug(s) to alter their mind?  What's the purpose?

  • To what extent does the fear of death shape one's life?
